High Speed Gear, Inc. is increasing production in an attempt to meet current massive demand.

High Speed Gear, Inc. (HSGI) produces some of the most popular shooting-related accessories in the business. From belts to bags, holsters, chest rigs, plate carriers and more, if you’re looking for a piece of gun gear there’s a decent chance they make something you could use. The products for which High Speed Gear is best known, however, are their TACO pouches. These mag pouches are used by warfighters, competitive shooters, and plenty of others. Last year HSGI was contracted to supply the US military with more than 30,000 TACO pouches in conjunction with Heckler & Koch’s fulfillment of the Army’s SDMR (Squad Designated Marksman Rifle) contract.

HSGI's TACO mag pouches are popular with all kinds of shooters.

Lately, unfortunately, many people have run into issues finding High Speed Gear’s TACOs and other products in stock anywhere, just like many other companies’ offerings. As most of us are painfully aware by now, demand for most guns, ammo, and gear is at all-time highs. Thankfully, HSGI has responded to this issue by announcing an effort to boost their supply. They have recently added additional manufacturing capabilities at their North Carolina facility, so hopefully, better High Speed Gear availability will be on the way soon. The press release detailing this announcement reads as follows.

High Speed Gear offers their products in several camo patterns and solid colors, such as the OD Green options seen here.

High Speed Gear Increases Production

SWANSBORO, N.C. – High Speed Gear® kicked off a second manufacturing shift at its Swansboro, N.C., headquarters on Sept. 8 to increase production and meet the growing demand for its American-made gear.

Within the facility, HSGI® increased its overall headcount, as well as continued to invest in equipment and new technology. The company is also working with multiple county officials to stand up another facility to further expand production.

“The High Speed Gear brand has grown substantially over the last six years and we have experienced a significantly higher level of demand since July of last year”, explained Bill Babboni, HSGI Vice President of Sales and Operations. “Though we’ve increased our manpower and capabilities, we’ve also faced the same challenges this year as the rest of the industry, and we will continue to stride forward each day.”

High Speed Gear has a history of producing some of the most versatile tactical pouches & platforms in the industry. A proven performer, HSGI continues to show tremendous popularity in the law enforcement, military & shooting sports markets worldwide. HSGI’s lengthy list of top tier operators includes U.S. & allied special forces, state & local tactical units, & federal agencies. All HSGI products are Berry Compliant.

@Suppressed Same here with one of their pocket mag pouches, took so long I'd forgotten about it by the time it finally showed up....lol. Good pouch though, doesn't slide around all over my pocket. Plus this article reminded me I need to order a couple of their X2RP pouches. Hopefully they'll be here by Christmas or New Years at the latest...lol

Not surprising considering them getting that USMC contract.
