Browning Bar Match/FN FNAR Free-Floating Handguard from Infitech
The Browning Bar Match/FN FNAR is a fairly popular semi-automatic hunting rifle in some countries where hunting with AR10s may be forbidden. I happen to own one, and I swear every time I have to clean and take it apart as it’s a pretty complicated and time-consuming job. Then I start to think how much Browning charged for the magazines. Other than that, it’s a pretty good hunting rifle, a lot of hunters use it for wild boar. Mine’s very accurate as well, 3 shots hole-in-hole at 80 yards is not an issue with hunting ammunition.
Infitech in Sweden has developed a free-floating handguard with M-LOK for this rifle. One benefit for users of suppressors is that you can adjust the gas settings without removing anything.
Here is the product description from the Infitech’s website:
Our handguard for the Browning Bar Match/FN FNAR mounts to the receiver to achieve a fully free floated barrel for greatly increased accuracy.
As it wraps completely around the barrel and as further out that the original, it allows for a better grip for the shooter aswell as a more stable platform for bipods.
Despite this, it is still lighter than the original handguard.
Features triple M-Lok rows on the 9 and 3 o’clock positions and single rows on the 12 and 6 o’clock positions, giving you all the mounting space you could need for accessories.
The gas block adjustment is accessible through the M-Lok slots, no more need to remove the handguard in order to adjust the gas settings.
The handguard is machined from 6061-T6 Aluminium, with an anodized matte black finish with some laser engravings. The weight is only 13.4oz / 380g (the original handguard weighs 14.1oz / 400g). Length from the end of the receiver: 16.3″ (41.5cm).
Note that this product will only fit the Browning Bar Match and FN FNAR. It does NOT fit any of the other Browning Bar models.
The price is $ 415.45.
