Tikka is a well-known rifle manufacturer, especially in the precision shooting community. For years Tikka has consistently put out some of the highest quality rifles and just recently they made a new version of their T1X MTR rifle available for an often forgotten subset of shooters. Tikka is introducing the left-handed T1x MTR.
Tikka’s Left-Handed T1X MTR Precision Rimfire Rifle
For months shooters have been hoping and speculating that Tikka might introduce this rifle in a left-handed action and it has finally come to pass. The rifle is already available in .17HRM and .22LR calibers and features a cold hammer forged barrel with a crossover profile that combines the benefits of a heavier barrel without all the extra weight.
Each T1x MTR comes with a standard 10-round rotary magazine as well as a high-quality stainless steel bolt that should withstand the elements no matter where you take your rifle. The rifle itself is compatible with most of the T3x accessories already available with the larger caliber rifles so you can easily customize your T1x to suit your needs in the field.
The left-handed version is also being included with the modular stock options that have interchangeable pistol grips that allow you to change the grip angle. This option allows you to shoot from many different positions. The synthetic stock also serves as an attachment point for different lengths of forend.
The T1x synthetic stock also boasts an improved grip for use with thick winter gloves or on hot summer days when your hands might be sweaty. Overall, the grip has been designed to offer a superior grip in all conditions regardless of outerwear.
The left-handed Tikka T1x MTR should be available in stores or through distributors shortly. An official MSRP has not been released but I think I can logically conclude that it will be the same price as the right-handed version – $499.99.
