Really Right Stuff Cinch-LR Bino Adapter

    RRS adapter

Really Right Stuff from Lehi, Utah (USA) has been around since 1990 and they deliver various support systems for optics.

They claim that all of their products are designed, built, assembled in the USA. Even the hex keys of their products are sourced from the United States.

Really Right Stuff have a new interesting product called the Cinch-LR Bino Adapter, which could be of interest to those who have a good set of binoculars but don’t want to invest in a spotting scope.

The binocular adapter is designed with both the RRS 1.5” Dovetail standard and the Manfrotto RC2 standard. The bottom side also is threaded 3/8”-16 to allow the acceptance of any other plate with or without a reducer bushing. The strap is removable for ease of installation with dual bridged binoculars.

    Really Right Stufft adapter

The RRS Cinch-LR (BA) Binocular Adapter described:

The RRS Cinch-LR (BA) Binocular Adapter provides quick-release functionality to your binocular/monocular of choice for housing diameter ranges between 1.77″-2.56″. The adapter is precision CNC machined from a solid block of aircraft grade aluminum, designed and manufactured in Lehi, UT.

The Cinch-LR BA is a semi-permanent clamp mount, that should fit in most supplied harnesses. The RRS 1.5″ dovetail standard, coupled with the Manfrotto RC2 standard, should allow the majority of tripod users to quickly attach and detach their optic from multiple ball head manufacturers.

If using a standard other than one of the two mentioned above, there is a 3/8″-16 mounting socket on the bottom of the Cinch-LR to adapt to a system of your choice.

The Cinch-LR BA can be mounted perpendicular or parallel to the optical plane. The removable strap can be fed through the buckle with the excess strap exposed on the outside, or reversed with the excess following the contour of the optical housing.

The Cinch-LR BA is CNC machined and type II hard anodized. They are built from the ground up for maximum functionality, performance, ruggedness, ergonomic fit, and finish.

While it looks like a really nice product, I think the 110 USD that RRS is asking seems a little steep.
