TFB’s Photo Of The Day – Today we’re aboard USS Frank Cable which is a submarine tender.

The location is the Pacific Ocean in December 2019, and we’re watching sailors as they fire a .50 caliber machine gun. It’s a pretty cool image taken from above.

Sailors assigned to USS Frank Cable (AS 40) aboard the submarine tender Frank Cable load .50 caliber ammunition during a weapons exercise as the ship conducts sea trials. Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, repairs, rearms, and re-provisions submarines and surface vessels in the Indo-Pacific region.
