The Trigger – probably one of the most important features on any firearm. A firearm with top components won’t be the same thing if the trigger is bad, and the same thing goes for bottom-end firearms.
I’ve shot low-cost AR15s that would have been decent enough, if only the trigger had been built by other components than the ones collected from the ancient spare parts kit.
I’ve heard proud first-time builders claim that “if I only shoot it a few thousand rounds the trigger will improve“.
Well, I have a suggestion. There’s a cost (plus wear and time) involved in shooting those thousand rounds, and you’ll still have a poor trigger. Invest a little bit more in a trigger and you will probably save money in the long run.
Now I haven’t had the possibility to try the brand new Impact AR Trigger from Timney, but it sounds like the MSRP of $150 might be one solution to the example above. I also like drop-in triggers.

Installs using your rifle’s original hammer/trigger pins, our proprietary design eliminates pin walkout.
