If you visit the website of Circle 10 AK, you’ll find a large selection of machined aluminum stocks for a variety of AK pattern rifles. Earlier, we talked about fixed and side-folding triangle stocks made by this company. What was missing in their product line was a solution for AK pistols. Well, the company filled this gap by introducing the Triangle Pistol Brace Adapter.

The Circle 10 AK Triangle Pistol Brace Adapter is completely made in the USA. It is machined out of billet 6061 aluminum and has a Type II hard coat anodized finish. The adapter is compatible with Gear Head Works Tailhook Mod 1 pistol brace. According to the company: “The adapter mounts to AK pistols using 10-32 mounting blocks or hinges such as ACE and Stormwerks”.

You have probably noticed that the shape of the triangle on this adapter is quite a bit different from the standard triangle stocks – it’s much narrower. I talked to Luke Williams, the owner of Circle 10 AK, and he explained why didn’t they simply modify their existing triangle stocks to take a Tailhook brace. There are two reasons why. It turns out, that according to ATF, you can’t modify a stock into a brace – so they had to make a dedicated brace adapter. The second reason is that the narrower triangle will allow to clear your hand and be useable when actually strapping it to your arm.
