I saved these photos a while ago and considering recent events, I thought these would make a good photo of the day. This is how you destroy a gun.
This is an FFL destroying HK416 machine gun lowers. I do not know the context but these receivers needed to be destroyed. I am surprised they are using a chop saw and not a torch. But from what I have read, torching aluminum is not as easy as it sounds. ATF regulations state to use a torch to cut machine gun receivers but the examples they use are G3, FN FAL, and Sten Guns. All of which are all steel receivers.
It is a shame that these need to be destroyed. Why couldn’t these just have the third pin hole welded shut so they cannot be made into machine guns?
