Ruger Now Offering 10/22 Carbine and Scope Package

    Ruger 10/22 Kit

Perhaps a “just in time for Christmas” kind of gun, the new package from Sturm, Ruger & Co. might be of interest to a lot of shooters – especially new ones who have not yet bought themselves a good rimfire rifle. The new kit pairs a classic 10/22 rifle with a hard case and factory mounted scope – just add a healthy dose of ammunition.

The gun is the well known 10/22 rifle with a black synthetic stock. It has a cold hammer forged 18.5″ barrel with the legendary semi-automatic action. It feeds from any compatible rotary magazine and comes with a single 10-rounder.

Mounted on top is a Weaver 3-9×40 scope. This scope has the Dual-X reticle. Although Ruger does not specify which Weaver scope is included, my initial guess is that it would be either a Kaspa or maybe a line just for OEM sales. Since this kit is only $90 more than the plain 10/22 rifle, there cannot be a huge sum of money tied up in the glass.

Also included with the gun is a hard case with interior padding. The case has a Ruger logo on the exterior.

As I mentioned above, these guns are not expensive when compared to the base 1022 rifle. With a suggested retail price of $399, I expect that dealers will have little problem in moving them.
