Lapua continues to market their new Ballistics App for iPhone and Android, this time with a rather cool video demonstrating how you can setup your system for a nice cold bore shot and hit.

We hope you are enjoying your holidays, eating plenty of good food and getting some new toys! We also hope you’ve tried our favorite free gadget, the Lapua Ballistics App. Check out our new app features video! Can’t wait to get out on the range… How about you?

TFB readers will remember this rifle, a Sako TRG M10 used by FinnAccuracy in their record shoot.

The sound suppressor is an ASE Utra, also from Finland.

By the looks of it, they are using .338 Lapua Magnum ammunition this time, but the target is “only” 606 meters away which should be easy for the caliber.

I don’t know the background of the “Col. Douglas Mortimer” graphics on the M10. He was portrayed by Lee Van Cleef in the movie “For a few Dollars more” (1965).

Link to to the previous FinnAccuracy record 4380 yards shoot here.

The 6 DoF, Six Degrees of Freedom.

That’s way too much freedom to give any object and especially a bullet, but I guess we have no choice other than to obey the laws of Physics.

Below: Dream rifle, with a Schmidt & Bender scope.

Please click play and enjoy. There’s a lot in here that could apply to both hunting and competitions scenarios.

What?! Only 606m,... the snipers in Hollywood can shoot lice from flies from 3 times the distance! All sarcastic humor aside, I like the realistic approach, something we ought to see more often in adverts. Thanks Lapua for keeping it real!
