#Mega-arms

I have shot a few rifles with Proof Research Carbon Fiber barrels, and they are really good. The 6.5 Creedmoor I tried at 300 meters I only had to shoot 5 rounds with. As they were all dead center I thought more rounds downrange is just a waste, obviously, it has the accuracy and it’s up to the shooter.

To begin with I think most, if not all, AR15s should be able shoot 1 MOA groups. Unfortunately they don’t, and sometimes even the best rifle just won’t marry whatever ammunition your using. But here’s proof that this competition rifle is up for it.

Today’s photo is a 7.5″ 300 Blackout. AR-15 format, but Low Visibility Gear and a lot of fun to shoot.

Soldier Systems shared this Mega Arms Megalithic Upper. It is machined from billet 7075 aluminum compared to your usual 6061 uppers. Weight is 22.3 oz.

I have said this before, that there are a million AR manufacturers out there. Every so often one jumps out at you with an idea that is out of the box. I ran in to the MEGA-ARMS team at the airport on the way in to Shot. Another great company from my area of the NW  and they told me I had to come by their booth and check out some new items. Their 5th year exhibiting at Shot and they bring fresh new ideas each year. This year’s new product is a genius idea called a level. You have heard of this? Well not like this one you haven’t.
