New "Gunmat" Gun Cleaning Mat With Trays From Strike Industries
Despite launching numerous new products at the SHOT Show 2020, Strike Industries has branched out yet again by releasing a new gun cleaning mat, aptly named the “Gunmat”, which features incorporated trays for keeping small gun parts from rolling away. Strike Industries’ new mat is similar to other popular designs in that the mat is padded, but deviates from them with the multiple molded trays for keeping smaller parts where you want them, or by keeping parts separated if working on several guns at once.

New Real Avid Gun Mats
One of the shelves in my gun room contains a stack of gun mats. These mats are meant to be used while cleaning guns and vary in size as well as by what is written on them. Some are simply marked by a company or manufacturer’s name and logo while others are covered in a diagram labeling each and every part of a specific gun. Others are solid back. A few are magnetic. Something does seem to be missing, though, and that’s an instructional gun mat. Now Real Avid is filling the gap with their new Smart Mat line.
New Lyman Gun Mat
Lyman is making a new mat designed to make cleaning or working on your gun a bit easier. Safe to say we’ve all had a spring roll away or a small part slide to parts unknown, and the company’s new gun mat is designed to stop those things from happening. The mat has designated sections for various parts, and each section is very slightly recessed with the intention of preventing parts from moving around excessively.
