GLOCK 28 USA: TALO Introduces the G28 To The US Market

The GLOCK 28, a GLOCK 26 sized pistol chambered in .380 Auto, has always been a unicorn sighting event here in the United States. Designed around some countries restrictions of the chambering in civilian guns in historically military calibers, the G28 pistol in the U.S. has been available only to law enforcement – until now. TALO Distributors has just announced the GLOCK 28, made in Smyrna, Georgia, and available to the commercial market. This is a limited release of a unique GLOCK pistol. Details below.

POTD: Slovenian Police with HK416A5, G28 and FN F2000S

The Slovenian National Police Force’s tactical police unit is known as Specialna Enota Policije (SEP), which translates as “Special Police Unit.” The SEP is used to carry out counterterrorism operations and other risky jobs that are too dangerous or challenging for the ordinary police force. They’re known as the “Red Panthers” and can be seen here using the Heckler & Koch HK416A5, G28 and G28 Patrol. Further down you will also see the rather peculiar FN F2000S.

POTD: Heckler & Koch MR223 and MR308 – Civilian Models

Photo Of The Day: For those civilians who want a Heckler & Koch rifle in their collection there are a few options. In Germany, the home market for Heckler & Koch, and Europe the options are generally the MR223 or MR308. By some strange logic, the models are called 223 and 308 in Europe, and 556 and 762 in the United States. In Europe, these models have been very hard to come by lately, probably because H&K’s production is quite busy with military orders. I have one of the first MR223s, now with some minor upgrades.

POTD: Austrian Special Forces Sniper with HK417P and ZC527

In 2019 TFB were the first to discover the new Heckler & Koch HK417P model. To the best of our knowledge, this is the rifle we’re looking at in the front row. The HK417P was made for Austria and is a combination of the HK417 assault rifle and G28 precision rifle. It is a semi-automatic only rifle.

POTD: M110A1 CSASS at Hamid Karzai International Airport

Photo Of The Day: Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, August 26, 2021, just a few days before the evacuation ended. You can imagine the pressure of working there, day and night with just a few hours of sleep between the shifts. Above we see a paratrooper assigned to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. He’s armed with the M110A1 CSASS, a contract awarded to Heckler and Koch. The setup is similar to the HK G28. It would be interesting to know if HK could deliver a solution in 6.5 Creedmoor if the U.S. Army wanted.

POTD: Latvian Snipers with the Heckler & Koch HK417

I showed the pictures in today’s Photo Of The Day to a friend and he called them “adult entertainment“, except in other words that we must not publish here. He wasn’t wrong, the album “Taktiskais snaiperis” (Tactical Snipers) contains a lot of hot material to get excited about. We have bolt-action and semi-automatic sniper rifles in a wonderful combination. There are firearms from a lot of countries here. You can see the Heckler & Koch HK417 used by the Latvian snipers, which is similar to the German G28. Can you spot the Italian ARX200 Assault Rifle? Take a look and do your best to identify what they’re using.

POTD: The Tabasco Heckler & Koch M110A1 CSASS

Our Photo Of The Day comes with some spicy sauce. What’s up with the empty Tabasco bottle at the front of the M110A1 CSASS? It all reminds me of our 2018 April Fool’s Day joke called the No Hassle Tactical Tassle.

They are armed with the G28 with a Schmidt & Bender scope (left) and the G95K with an EOTech.
