FN America will be displaying MultiCam SCARs at the 151st NRA Annual Meeting. The rifles are the same as usual – SCAR 16S, 17S and the 20S commercial variants – with Crye Precision’s original MultiCam pattern applied hydrographically to the receiver and the trigger module frame.

Searching for firearm patents online can be an interesting way to spend one’s time. It offers a deeper insight into known models and, sometimes, it offers some rather pleasant surprises. One of such events happened to a reader, who tipped us about a patent for a PDW-style firearm recently granted to inventor Caleb Crye, of Crye Precision fame.

It is Friday and you know what that means, night vision show and tell. This week we have some new stuff coming from Nocturn Industries. They are releasing a night vision monocular night called Tanto. Nocturn has also been busy upgrading Crye Airframe helmets with their M-LOK rails. Across America, COVID-19 stimulus checks (direct deposits) are finally hitting bank accounts as the COVID-19 pandemic keeps us in lockdown.  In an effort to help stimulate our favorite part of the economy, we at TFB created a list of things we think you should consider buying with your stimulus dollars.

I picked up a Crye Precision Gun Clip many years ago. To be honest I have not used it that much although I liked the concept.

Crye has the SIX12 at SHOT Show again. This time they have a separate booth from all the Multicam gear. The booth was being stationed by two guys from Vantage Arms. Vantage Arms is the company manufacturing the SIX12. According to Eric D’Ambrosio-Correll and Yruy Karfiol, they are shooting for Q3 to begin accepting orders and Q4 to begin shipping.

I got a Unity Tactical Knuckl helmet mount so I could manage the side attachments on my helmet. The Knuckl Mount attaches to either Ops Core, Team Wendy, and Crye Precision rails. Most people utilize the Contour action camera and the Knuckl mount has a dedicated attachment point for the Contour.

I stopped by Crye Precision’s booth today to see what was going on with the SIX12, as nothing had really been heard about it over the last year.  Unfortunately the shotgun’s lead designer wasn’t there at the time, but Caleb Crye took the time to explain to me the current state of development, and any changes that had been made.  The most significant change that he pointed out to me was that the barrel and cylinders are now made out of titanium.  Another thing I noticed about the cylinders is that they now do not have any cuts on the side.

Crye Precision has a multicam Magpul Ronin at their booth here at SHOT Show 2016. For those of you not familiar with “ The 47“, these motorcycles were originally designed by a team at Magpul.

Crye Precision has a website now for the SIX12 revolver bullpup shotgun. It is six12.com.

Silencerco and Crye Precision collaborated to make a SIX12 with a 6 inch Salvo 12 suppressor. Crye Precision integrated the Salvo 12 into the handguard. Still no price or ETA on the release of the Six 12. All the display models at Crye and this one at the Silencerco booth all have 3D printed components. They have added M-Lok holes into their handguard designs.
