POTD: Pulsar Trail XP50

Night Vision! That is our subject in Photo Of The Day. Or it should actually be Photo Of The Night!

One of our European readers sent us this picture, taken via his new Pulsar Trail XP50. It has a High-Resolution 640×480 Thermal Imaging Sensor, which brings out a lot of the details of this animal.

We are looking at a stately fallow deer. It was not allowed to hunt at the time, so no worries.

Luckily the technology of today lets us, humans, capture the beauty of the nature day and night.

Here is an example of the Pulsar Trail XP50 (right) and the Pulsar Trail XQ38 (left).

The setup with the Pulsar Trail XQ38 can be seen below. I think that is a suppressed Blaser.

Pulsar offers a wide range of rifle mounts, a few examples can be found here: https://www.pulsar-nv.com/glo/products/33/rifle-mounts-adapters/rifle-mounts

Here is an example of the Pulsar Trail XP50, from all4shooters.

The riflescope we received for the test is the top of the line Pulsar Trail XP50 LRF

This version has an LRD – Laser Range Finder.

You can find the Pulsar Night Vision homepage here.

How do you use Night Vision? Or are you waiting for the prices to come down still?
