RTT Firearms is now selling a new .308 semi-automatic rifle called the AR10 SASS. The new rifle looks like it could be a good choice for anyone needing a precision rifle in .30 caliber.

The upper and lowers are machined from billet 7075 aluminum and are a DPMS pattern/compatible design. The lower has an integrated trigger guard and a KE Arms ambidextrous, short throw safety selector switch. RTT Firearms stays with KE Arms for the trigger, using that company’s DMR model.

For a barrel, the company went with a 20″ heavy barrel from Faxon. The barrel is fluted 416-R stainless steel with QPQ nitrocarburizing. The 15″ hand guard is made of 6061 aluminum with M-LOK attachment points.

The MPI tested bolt carrier group uses double ejectors. RTT uses a Raptor charging handle combined with a polished rifle buffer and spring to help make things run smoothly.

Out back, Magpul handles the stock with its PRS. Magpul also provides the MOE grip and 20 round magazine.

The rifle comes in a pre-fitted Plano hard case that is lockable.

The base price on this rifle is $2,599. With the two-color finish as shown in this article, the rifle sell fro $2,899. The scope is not included in the price – that is for illustration only. Additional finishes, such as camo, patterns are also available as custom work.
