Firearms manufacturer Rock Island Armory has announced the introduction of the RIA 5.0E, a new addition to the RIA-USA series. Upgrades include, new optics cut and plates, an updated barrel with improved materials and geometry, aggressive slide serrations for easier manipulation, and an Armor Series finish with a diamond-like carbon coating.

The RIA5.0E comes with enhancements aimed at improving performance and customization for users. Among the upgrades are new optics cuts and plates to facilitate easy installation of micro red dot sights (MRDS), and an updated barrel designed with advanced materials and optimized slide geometry to enhance shooting accuracy and reliability. Addressing ease of use, especially under challenging conditions, the pistol includes newly designed aggressive serrations. The barrel has undergone a transformation with improved materials and slide geometry for better performance.
