In our last edition, our poll showed that you, the readers, by a razor-thin margin decided the Taran tactical pistol set was fudd crap.

At this time the original auction has ended without the pistols selling and sadly they have not been relisted. We can only hope at this point that they’ll be able to find their way to a new home very shortly.

In this week’s edition of HGFC, we look at an M16-themed custom Martini Henry chambered in .303 British. As is tradition, this Khyber Pass gat is currently up for sale on GunBroker for $1,251 Current Bid with No Reserve.

UPS has been horrible to Gun Dealers and they keep increasing our rates. On ground shipments we loose money almost every time by the time we are done using a brand new box, and all brand new packing material to help ensure your item shows up in the condition it leaves our store. Because of this, we have switched to USPS to ship handguns. USPS requires us to drop off handguns at the post office. We do drop offs on Wednesday and Friday only. In store pick up is available for all items unless otherwise stated. Placing a bid is a binding contract. Once a bid is placed it cannot and will not be removed. It’s funny to think that there’s a whole region of the world that gets a pass when it comes to cobbling together firearms like this. I guess the moral of the story is, if you want to make weird guns, move to the Khyber Pass and after that, they’ll actually sell.  At the time this article was written this listing already had a whopping 38 bids.

I would say it was born out of necessity, but I think there was a perfectly good Martini-Henry before this, and now we just have this.  One could argue it’s feature-rich with the scope, but I don’t think anything else was really necessary. Just a man with a welder and too many M16 parts lying around.  Maybe there’s someone out there who’s frequented the Khyber Pass that can explain this one to me.
