HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Wick's Combat Master or Midlife's Financial Disaster?

Welcome everyone to the 222nd edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only have Fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you, the readers, decided the Realtree Anaconda was a very hot gat.

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Wick’s Combat Master or Midlife’s Financial Disaster?

Purchasing firearms for investment purposes isn’t something this series normally covers but given the hype around the John Wick series of films, it was time to address this. Plus with both of these guns being 2011’s, we get to kill two birds with one stone (so to speak).

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Wick’s Combat Master or Midlife’s Financial Disaster?

Hollywood and video games have always driven gun sales, and John Wick set the bar pretty high for action movies. It was The Fast and The Furious for gun guys (and where the lead actor had to do more than just act).  It brought in some very cool weapons, and his “kit” changing from film to film showed how the character grew.  I don’t have a favorite gun, but I liked all the guns featured in the series and I’m sure they shot like a million bucks.

Do I have a million bucks to spend? No. Do you or I have a shade under $20k to drop on what I’d consider an investment piece, no probably not.  But is this set of hot gats, or is the asking price too much?  As always I leave it up to you, the readers, to decide.
