POTD: German GSG-9 Operator With Heckler & Koch MP7

    German GSG-9 Operator
The GSG-9, or Grenzschutzgruppe 9 der Bundespolizei (Border Protection Group 9), is a highly specialized counter-terrorism and special operations unit within the German Federal Police.
Does anyone recognize the platform the GSG-9 operator in the middle is running? It’s of course the well-known, but not so often seen, Heckler & Koch MP7.
The primary mission of the GSG-9 is to respond to and resolve hostage situations, terrorist threats, and serious violent crimes. They are also involved in protecting and rescuing German citizens abroad, especially in high-risk situations.

According to Wikipedia, very little is known, but: “the majority of this unit’s missions are confidential and public information is not available. Since its inception, GSG 9 has participated in over 1,500 missions, yet reportedly fired shots only on five occasions (official count, prior to the 2003 Iraq War). These occasions were Mogadishu in 1977, Bad Kleinen in 1993, Aachen in 1999 and two more missions where firearms were used to shoot dogs of the persons being arrested.”
