Cutting Weight: Bergara's New MgMicro Lite Rifle

Ultralight hunting rifles are all the rage right now, and Bergara has a new model in that vein. The Premier MgMicro Lite is a full chassis rifle under six pounds. Let’s find out how it manages this feat.

    Bergara @ TFB:

The MgMicro Lite is part of the Premier Series, which is Bergara’s top-end line. The Premier action sits in an XLR Atom chassis made of magnesium. It accepts standard AICS magazines. TriggerTech triggers are standard, as are carbon fiber parts. The pistol grip and stock are both carbon fiber, and the stock is foldable.

There are three caliber options currently listed:

    • 6.5 Creedmoor, 1:8 twist, 5.8 lbs, MSRP $3,099
    • .308 Winchester, 1:10 twist, 5.9 lbs, MSRP $3,099
    • 6.5 PRC, 1:8 twist, 5.9 lbs, MSRP $3,149

All three models have 18-inch Cure carbon-fiber barrels, all threaded 5/8×24. Bergara has not provided information on availability yet, perhaps we will learn more at SHOT Show 2024.
