Bergara loads the 6mm GT Competition Rifle with the kind of features you would expect on this kind of bolt gun. The barrel is a 26-inch heavy contour with a 5/8×24 threaded muzzle. A MasterPiece Arms BA chassis is standard, featuring an Arca rail and integral Picatinny rail for bipod and tripod mounting options. A TriggerTech Special Trigger comes standard and the entire package weighs in at 12.7 pounds.

The 6mm GT cartridge is popular in the PRS scene for its high ballistic coefficient bullets and velocities with mild recoil. It is a newer cartridge that gained SAAMI specification in 2022. At the top end, it can push the 100-grain+ class of 6mm projectiles over 3,000 FPS. Those long, heavy bullets require a faster twist rate than other 6mm/.243 cartridges, and Bergara uses a 1:7.5 twist rate.
Bergara’s MSRP is $2,750, but retailers like Mile High Shooting have the 6 GT Comp Rifle listed at $2,500. That stays well under the $3,000 price cap for the PRS production class.
