POTD: The KelTec KS7 – Compact Shotgun

This Photo Of The Day is like taken out of a Hollywood movie, don’t you think? We’re looking at Kel-Tec’s KS7 bullpup shotgun, priced just at $530. The KS7 has an 18.5″ magazine tube which holds up to 7+1 rounds, depending on your choice of shell size. The barrel has the same length, so there should be plenty of speed and gas regardless if you use it for target shooting or home defense.

Here’s Keltec’s caption:

THE KS7.

The KS7 is designed for many applications, but it lends itself perfectly to home defense, back country hiking or anywhere you need a compact 12ga shotgun.

Its intuitive, simple features, optional Picatinny-style rail and M-LOK accessory mounting solutions make it very versatile.

It’s not your grandpa’s shotgun, unless you buy it for him.

What do you think of the images and the concept of a compact, bullpup shotgun? How would you configure and carry or use yours?

These have been dropping pretty close to what I consider, 'Eff it, why not?' pricing as of late.

@Beju The one I shot belonged to a friend who was gifted it. Local store did a "BOGO" deal.

How hard would it be to make a bottom eject, tube fed semi auto shotgun? It'd be perfect for a bullpup.

@Uncle Yar The Ithaca 37 did it with a pump. Might be harder to do with a semi. I haven't really looked into how the mechanism works, but I'm sure it's possible.
