When it comes to military and law enforcement factions selecting their holsters for duty, they are quite discerning on retention and durability because it could cost them their life if equipment fails. So, it is a nod of quality that the Blackhawk T-Series holster has been chosen for use by the Belgian Federal Police, and Blackhawk has subsequently secured their most recent contract.

Blackhawk @ TFB:

The Blackhawk T-Series holster delivery is a $2.1 Million contract with the Belgian Police Force featuring the same holster solution chosen by the French Army and the Niedersachsen State Police of Germany. The Blackhawk holsters will carry Smith & Wesson M&P-9 service pistols for the Belgian Police while the local police zones in Belgium will have the ability to purchase new duty holsters compatible with their Glock 17/45 service pistols.

Overland Park, Kansas – December 7th, 2023 – Blackhawk®, a leader in law enforcement and military equipment for over 30 years and a Vista Outdoor Inc. (NYSE:VSTO) brand, announced today that the United Security Group (USG) has been awarded a four-year contract from the Federal Police in Belgium to deliver new duty holsters from the brand’s T-Series holster line. As part of the contract, law enforcement professionals within the Belgian Federal Police and local police zones in Belgium will begin utilizing T-Series L3D holsters to carry their primary service pistols.

“This contract is a testament to the craftsmanship of Blackhawk products and the brand’s commitment to equipping law enforcement officials around the globe,” said Jeff Sposito, who leads the Blackhawk and Stone Glacier brands of Vista Outdoor. “We take pride in supplying military personnel and law enforcement officers with the gear they need to keep their communities safe, and we know the Belgian Federal Police are now carrying the world’s best holster.”

The USG noted that Blackhawk T-Series is a secure and versatile platform, with the T-Series L3D holsters coming standard with the Jacket Slot Belt Loop or being compatible with the agency selected Blackhawk Micro Tac Platform. This modularity allows officers to select the form of carry most suited to their needs without sacrificing accessibility or security.

“We are honored to have our T-Series holsters selected by such a prestigious international agency,” said Liam Yarbrough, senior product line manager with Blackhawk. “This partnership signifies the trust officers place in our holsters, and it reinforces our commitment to keeping those who protect and serve safe on the job. It’s a privilege to play a role in their mission, and we take this responsibility seriously.”

Thus far, the Blackhawk T-Series holster is in use by approximately 3,200 law enforcement agencies across the United States and the world abroad. Being considered the world’s first thumb-driven, dual-injected molded holster, the Blackhawk T-Series is the premier holster within their portfolio of offerings. This additionally secured police contract is simply yet another feather in Blackhawk’s hat for the T-Series. As always, let us know all of your thoughts about Blackhawk in the Comments below! The T-Series Holsters are good holsters despite the stigma of it being a Blackhawk holster. I was pleasantly surprised when I got mine for my FS P320.

@Xerxes036 They really are. Super fast out of the holster, and solid. If I have any complaints it's their level 3 is a little lacking. It's a little TOO easy to disengage if an attacker gets their hand on the lever it disables all retention. So I look at them as more or less level 2+ holsters. Instead of proper level 3. Similar to how the safariland gls holster is really more a level 1+ holster. Better than a friction, but still stupid easy to defeat retention.

I wonder if the holster won over Safariland on price, or on some other issue (uncommanded discharge issues), or if Safariland did not compete. I have trouble understanding how Safariland's holsters might contribute to P320s discharging in the holster, but some are blaming the holster. In any event, congratulations to Blackhawk.
