Noreen Firearms ULR 2.0 Single-Shot .50BMG Rifle

Noreen Firearms have announced the release of the second generation of their ULR single-shot .50BMG bolt action rifle. The main difference of the new ULR 2.0 rifle from its predecessor is the aluminum chassis that features an adjustable stock and a handguard (the first-generation URL rifle had a two-position collapsible stock and a spigot bipod mount, no handguard). Let’s take a closer look.

Like the Gen 1 rifle, the ULR 2.0 also has a very simple action where the short rotating bolt is completely removed from the gun when reloading. The 30″ barrel has a 1:15″ twist rate, 1.25-12 muzzle threads and comes with a 4-port Noreen muzzle brake installed. The stock, which is attached to the CNC machined core chassis via a Picatinny rail, has an adjustable length of pull and cheekpiece and is fitted with a Kickeez recoil pad. The handguard features a continuous top Picatinny rail aligned with the top rail of the receiver, M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom as well as a short 1913 rail section at the bottom front end. The finishes used on the ULR 2.0 rifle are Cerakote and anodizing. The rifle comes with an A2-pattern AR-15 pistol grip and a Timney Sportsman trigger that has an adjustable pull weight (2 – 4 lbs). The overall length of the Noreen Firearms ULR 2.0 rifle is 51″ and it weighs 24 lbs. Noreen Firearms guarantees that the ULR 2.0 rifle will print 1-MOA groups and states that the effective range of the rifle is 2500 yards.
