One of the most popular micro-compact pistols in the nation has just become a bit more accessible to even more Americans with the launch of the new CA Compliant SIG Sauer P365. The new California-compliant P365 obviously had to go through the rigorous maze that is the California Roster of Certified Handguns.  Aside from the live-fire testing procedures, the pistol also has to be capped at 10 rounds, and feature a loaded chamber indicator, and a magazine disconnect.

The P365 redefined what a concealed-carry pistol should be, now the most concealable pistol in its class is optic-ready from the factory. Cut to accommodate direct fit ROMEOZero Elite and ROMEO-X Compact red dot sights, the most popular pistol in its class is even more versatile.

The California Compliant P365 is striker-fired, with the clean crisp trigger pull you expect from a SIG. It’s optic-ready with a removable sight plate ready to accept the new ROMEO-X Compact red dot. Chambered in 9mm it is rated for +P ammunition and includes XRAY3 Day/Night sights, and two 10-round magazines.

The magazine disconnect, loaded chamber indicator, and ambidextrous manual safety featured on the CA Compliant SIG P365 shouldn’t really detract from the reliability, shooting performance, and most importantly concealability of the platform. On top of that, the CA Compliant version of the P365 will come standard with night sights, as well as an optic-ready slide featuring an RMS-c footprint. While it is difficult to get your concealed carry permit in certain parts of the state of California, for the 30 or so counties that are more or less “shall issue,” citizens of the state of California can finally get their hands on the P365 for around $700.
