New SIG Sauer CROSS MAGNUM Bolt-Action Rifle

    SIG Sauer have released the bigger version of their CROSS rifle, the CROSS Magnum. Although the new rifle is currently available chambered in 300 Win Mag only, which is a standard/long action length cartridge, the CROSS Magnum actually has a magnum size action as according to SIG Sauer, the receiver length is capable of extending all the way up to 300 PRC, which is a magnum action length cartridge. Let’s take a closer look at the new SIG Sauer CROSS Magnum rifle.

    After years of research and development, and countless months of testing in the harshest environments, comes the SIG SAUER CROSS Magnum; the release answers the call to bring magnum-class calibers to the CROSS family of bolt-action rifles while building on the foundation and innovation that made the CROSS a leader in its class.

    SIG Sauer CROSS Magnum rifle features a new quick barrel change system and a new improved folding and adjustable stock design with easier, intuitive folding, better stock retention and a stronger lock-up. The 24″ stainless steel medium contour barrel has 5R riflings, a 1:9″ twist rate, a 5/8×24 threaded muzzle and comes with a radial compensator installed that is advertised to reduce the felt recoil by 45%. The one-piece coyote anodized aluminum receiver features a top Picatinny rail. The free-floated aluminum handguard has M-LOK slots on its sides, top and even on the bottom full-length ARCA rail. The rifle also features a PRS-style grip, a 2-stage match trigger, and ambidextrous safety which right-side lever doubles as a thumb rest. The SIG CROSS Magnum is fed from AICS pattern detachable box magazines. The capacity of the 300 Win Mag magazine is 6 rounds. The overall length of the SIG Sauer CROSS Magnum rifle is 45.2″ (36″ with the stock folded) and it tips the scales at 8.9 lbs. At the time of writing, there is no information on the price of this new rifle.
