Texas Weapon Systems SLEDGE Aluminum AK Stock

Texas Weapon Systems, a company specializing in designing and manufacturing upgrade parts for the AK family of firearms, came up with a new AK stock called Sledge. This is a non-adjustable aluminum stock designed for fixed-stock AKs. Let’s take a closer look at the new Texas Weapon Systems Sledge AK stock.

Whether shouldering your rifle or beating your way through a wall, the Sledge™ has you covered! Originally conceived for a foreign partner nation, the Sledge™ buttstock is the most rugged AK stock on the market. Designed to withstand the rigors of combat while significantly improving durability, capability and ergonomics over the AK’s original stock.

The aluminum tubular body of TWS Sledge AK stock is wrapped in a polymer sleeve to protect the shooter’s face and is slightly raised for better cheek weld with optics. The rear portion of the stock is also made of aluminum and features a sling loop and a QD socket at the toe. The mounting block is angled at the bottom to guide the shooter’s hand to the pistol grip and has built-in QD sling swivel sockets. There is also a storage compartment inside the Sledge stock. To access that compartment, you must unscrew the cap which can be done by either using a tool like a bayonet or two 7.62×39 cartridges/cases.
