A couple of weeks ago we took a look at the new aluminum AK stocks from Kalashnikov USA’s Premium K-Series line of AK accessories. This family of KUSA products also has a wide selection of wood furniture sets for AKs with 5.5mm side folding rear trunnions. Let’s go over the features of KUSA Premium K-Series folding wood stock sets.

There are two types of KUSA Premium K-Series folding wood stock sets – both contain the same side folding wooden stock but have a different design of the pistol grip and lower handguard (standard profile vs sharkfin with M-LOK slots). Like the 100-series stocks, KUSA folding wood stocks have a cutout on the left side to accommodate the side scope rail when folded. These furniture sets are made of European birchwood. The folding hinge is made of 4140 steel. The overall length of the stocks is 9.1″. Both types of KUSA wood furniture sets are available in three color options: Rustic Brown, Amber Honey and Russian Red.

KUSA Premium K-Series Folding Wood Stock Sharkfin Sets

The MSRPs of Kalashnikov USA Premium K-Series folding wood stock sets with standard and shark fin lower handguards are $199.99 and $230.99 respectively.

An AK with a wooden side folding stock looks quite unusual because Soviet/Russian production side folder AKs were never equipped with wood stocks with the exception of this limited-edition civilian rifle. A wooden side folding stock sounds like an interesting idea though as it combines the feel of the wood and the utility of the side folding stock. Tell us in the comments section what you think about KUSA Premium K-Series folding wood stock sets.
