I saw this video shared in a Facebook group and I had to try it myself. It is a PMAG unload hack that allows you to empty your PMAG quickly without shooting the rounds or manually removing each round.

I liked that the GunBros showed not only the perfect execution but typical attempts where only a few rounds squirt out. This is the standard performance you can expect when you first try this hack.

The PMAG unload hack seems relatively simple. You apply precise pressure with the tip of your finger in the right “P-Spot” (Matthew Moss coined that phrase) and the rounds will just gush out.

If you don’t get the fingering just right, then the rounds don’t come out at all or just a little.

I tried it myself and filmed it in slow motion, 1,000 frames per second using my Chronos 1.4 high-speed camera.

I tested this on other magazines:

• Troy Polymer Magazine
• Lancer Magazine
• GI aluminum magazine

Only the Troy magazine worked. The other magazines had a much stiffer magazine spring so it was harder to push the rounds down.

Given the popularity of the PMAG, this PMAG unload hack seems like a nifty trick if you want to unload your mags quickly after a match or a training session. Or you could mess with your friends, grab a PMAG from their mag pouch and dump all their rounds out. But I don’t think they will be your friends much longer.

Performing the PMAG unload hack requires some practice. I was only able to get a few rounds to come out at a time. After a couple tries, I was able to empty a full PMAG.
