POTD: The GSG Schmeisser MP40 9×19
When competing in IPSC or USPSA PCC competitions most competitors go for what (they imagine) is the most competitive firearm. However, there are a few people who compete just for fun, and their choice of weapon goes in the same style. So in this Photo Of The Day, we’re going to honor one of those people and take a closer look at the GSG Schmeisser MP40 9×19 mm, made by German Sports Guns.
“Read the manual before use” – Caliber 9x19mm, Made in Germany.
There is also a base mount for the GSG MP40 rifle (mounted), so you can attach red dots, rifle scopes or whatever to the Picatinny rail.
Magazines for the GSG MP40 cal. 9×19, with holsters for competition.
Meet the owner of this MP40, Tarmo, at the recent Swedish Championships in Pistol Caliber Carbine – Ockelbo 300, but he can usually be found at most minor and major shooting competitions. You may recognize him the the Meg-Gar stand at IWA as well. When not busy supporting competitors he runs TK Academy, which you can find here: http://www.tkacademy.se/
Tarmo keeps a good stash of Aimpoints with him, for anyone who wants to evaluate different models side-by-side, including a magnifier.
Looking at GSG’s homepage, this MP40 9×19 mm seems to go for around €699.
