Here you can see the PDW4 stock on a SCAR 17. It’s made by Otto Arms, an engineering solutions company specializing in the firearm industry, particularly the FN SCAR platform.

The OTTO ARMS PDW stock is an all aluminum and stainless replacement stock for the FN SCAR factory butt stock.

Mounts on FN SCAR 15P, 16 and 17 backplate

Rapid Deployable Feature (RDF) allows for quick extension of the stock without the need to depress the latch

Four positions of adjustment

2 built-in QD sling mounts

Stock allows for full operational use of the rifle in any position

Alloy steel springs and hardware

Hardware is compatible with upper receiver hardware

Rod/Latch Material: 17-4 Stainless Steel

Stock/Back plate Material: 6061 Aluminum

Length of Pull, Extended: 8.25 inches

Made in U.S.A

    The one thing other than price preventing me from getting a SCAR is that it takes proprietary mags that cost an arm and a leg.

    Okay, they're not that bad, but if I'm going to drop three grand on a rifle, would it kill FN to make it accept mags that cost less than fifty bucks a pop?
