Gunwerks have entered the bipod market with the release of their new Elevate hunting bipod. One of the main features that sets this bipod apart from the competition is the impressive 5″ to 19″ height adjustment range which according to Gunwerks, no other hunting weight bipod offers. Let’s take a closer look at the features of the new Gunwerks Elevate bipod.

- Gunwerks Announces New Werkman Rifle System
- NEW Gunwerks NEXUS Rifle System
- Gunwerks TRAK – Rifle, Backpack & eBike Package
- Gunwerks THE CUT Lightweight Bolt Action Rifle
Gunwerks Elevate bipod is made of aluminum and carbon fiber and has an overall weight of 12 ounces. This bipod features four leg splay positions and a 120-degree cant with a tension adjustment lever. It does not have a pan function. The legs are deployed and locked in place by simply being pulled down. In order to fold them back, you need to first press the unlocking buttons at the bases of the legs. Each leg contains two inner legs for extending the height of the bipod. The first inner leg is extended manually and is locked/unlocked by twisting a collar while the second one is spring-loaded and can be quickly deployed to one of its 12 positions by pressing a button. The feet of the Gunwerks Elevate bipod are removable – it is currently available only with the feet shown in the pictures, however, spike feet are in the works.
If the widest leg splay setting is chosen (position 4 in the picture above) and the legs are fully collapsed, the bipod will have its lowest height (5″). If the narrowest splay is selected and both inner legs are fully extended, the bipod will be at its tallest possible configuration (19″).
The Gunwerks Elevate bipod is attached to Picatinny rails via the company’s patent-pending NeoLok quick attachment system. The installation of the bipod with this system is pretty simple – place the mount on the 1913 rail with the bipod legs perpendicular to the bore axis and then twist the legs 90 degrees to their normal orientation to force the mount clamp onto the rail. The jaws of the NeoLok mount are adjustable allowing to compensate for tolerance differences of Picatinny rails made by different manufacturers. ARCA-Swiss rail version of the Gunwerks Elevate bipod will be available in the future.
The MSRP of Gunwerks Elevate bipod is $375. You can purchase it on the company’s website or through one of the Gunwerks’ verified dealers.
