Timney Releases (Affordable) Impact 700 Trigger

Timney Releases (Affordable) Impact 700 Trigger

Timney Triggers just added a new affordable option for the Remington 700 platform. The Impact 700 retails for $124.99 and has a non-adjustable pull weight of between 3 and 4 pounds. Like other Timney options, it is a cassette-style unit that drops into a rifle. Let’s take a look at what all this trigger brings to the table.

    More Triggers @ TFB:

Now, a Rem 700 trigger is nothing new for Timney. The Impact 700 is their 7th model. Existing versions cover general applications like hunting or specific needs like benchrest competition. However, the Impact wins on price. The next-cheapest option is the Elite Hunter 700, starting at $169.99, compared to the Impact 700 at $124.99.

These cost savings come from a slightly different feature set. Unlike the other triggers in Timney’s range, there are no pull weight options, trigger shoe shapes, or finish options on the Impact. But for an end user who wants a simple trigger better than a factory unit, the Impact 700 is a compelling option. It is available for order direct from Timney now.

    From the manufacturer:

Timney has been asked to build a Remington Model 700 replacement trigger at a cost-effective price that does not compromise on quality. You asked. Timney listened.

Introducing the Impact 700 – the newest trigger in Timney’s extensive line of Remington 700 triggers that are American-made by the incredible craftsmen and women who build, “The World’s Finest Triggers”.

Timney’s engineers designed this entry-level trigger by machining the parts from billet steel – no skimping with metal injection molding, rolled, or stamped parts – while still hand-assembling, testing, and calibrating each trigger at a price you asked for – $124.99 MSRP.
