Bul Armory announced several new and improved handgun variants at IWA 2023, and today we’ll take a look at those from their SAS II series. There are three, all optics-ready: the SAS II Radical 5.4″, Air, and Saw models. Each is a 1911-based design offered in either 9mm or .40 S&W, and aimed largely at the competition market for use in IPSC Standard and USPSA Limited/Limited Optics divisions. They all feature stainless steel construction, and range in MSRP from $2450 to $3090. The 9mm versions have a 19-round capacity, with one fewer round fitting into the .40s. The stainless steel frame is covered by a gray polymer grip module and houses a 2-2.5lb trigger.

Bul Armory – New optic ready Radical 5.4″ (IWA release)

We updated the Radical 5.4″ model with a new competition driven optic system that features an adjustable rear sight plate which can be swapped for an optic that sits as low as possible, making this model fit a wider variety of applications and divisions in IPSC, USPSA & IDPA arenas.

– The US version of the Radical will feature a full length beaver tail and our competition hammer (EU version shown in picture).

– Optic adapter (RMR footprint) included in the box.
– The Radical 5.4″ is shipping with 3 magazines and +1 base aluminum pads installed.

The Air model is most immediately distinguishable from the Radical and Saw versions by virtue of its fully cut-through front slide.
