[SHOT 2023] New Scopes And Mounts From Hi-Lux Optics

Hi-Lux Optics had a few new optics on display at Shot Show 2023. Though they may be best known for their vintage scopes, the do offer modern options as well.

First up is the PR5 5-25×56. This first focal plane scope features a 34mm main tube and 110 MOA of internal travel. The parallax is adjustable and goes all the way down to 10 yards. Hi-Lux also stated that the internal adjustments are fully stainless steel, in contrast to some of their other offerings. MSRP for the PR5 is $799 and it is shipping now.

Hi-Lux also had a pre-production 1-10x scope, called the CMR. It differs from other optics in this class by incorporating a side parallax adjustment. Both the windage and elevation turrets are exposed and have a locking feature. The anticipated availability date is Summer 2023, with a price point around $749.

One unexpected release was a micro red dot mount for top eject Winchester lever guns. It utilizes the side mounting holes used for rear peep sights. The footprint is the standard RMR-pattern, so a wide variety of optics are compatible. This mount is not yet available, but the MSRP is $89.99.

From the manufacturer:

This base is designed to mount a reflex red dot sight on the Winchester 1871, 1886, 1892 and 1894 Lever Action Rifles without additional modification to the rifle.

The mounting plate uses the Trijicon RMR footprint. This can be used to mount red dots such as the Hi-Lux TD-3C red dot sights on to the top ejection Winchester Lever Action rifles.

The Winchester Lever Action Red Dot Base is designed to attach to the two rear sight mounting holes on the left side of the receiver. The slots on the mounting plate allow for variations in the height of receiver wall between manufacturers.

Thats a neat mount option for the lever guns.
Hi-Lux is a pretty cool company. Before I went with a Primary Arms 4-14x for my AR308, I was considering their ART 2-10x scope.
I like seeing companies still offer scope options for the older/antique guns.
