TFB’s Photo Of The Day is here again. Each day different images of the fascinating world of firearms, together with a brief explanation and credit to the photographer. Today we have U.S. Army Paratroopers assigned to the Castle Company, 54th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade. They are engaging targets using the M136E1 AT4-CS confined space light anti-armor weapon during a live-fire exercise at Pocek Range in Postojna, Slovenia, in December 2022.

The letters AT signify the AT4’s Anti-Tank capabilities, and the “AT4” is a play with words where ‘eighty-four’ marks the caliber. In total, more than 1 million AT4s have been produced.

The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army Contingency Response Force in Europe, capable of projecting ready forces anywhere in the U.S. European, Africa or Central Commands’ areas of responsibility.
