Ascalon Arms is a firearm accessories manufacturer from Brno, Czech Republic, founded by Jiří Šlechta, a former handgun designer at CZUB. The company is specialized in making aftermarket parts for CZ firearms. Their newest product called Last Round Backstrap is a rather interesting accessory for CZ P-10C pistols. It’s a backstrap that can store a 9x19mm round inside it!

Ascalon Arms Last Round Backstrap is 3D-printed with MJF (Multi Jet Fusion) technology using PA12 polymer material. The finish is Cerakote with Black, Gray, FDE, and Ranger Green color options available. These backstraps are externally shaped like the factory ones, however, they have a different texture that according to Ascalon Arms provides a sure grip in your palm without the unpleasant bite from the original texture. The Last Round Backstrap is available in M and L sizes (the 9x19mm cartridge wouldn’t fit inside an S-size backstrap).
Ascalon Arms Last Round Backstrap for CZ P-10C pistols has an MSRP of $39.90. It is currently available for preorder at a discounted price of $27.90. The estimated start of shipping is November 21-27.
I can hear you asking “but why?“. Well, the company says just in case. I can’t think of any situation where you’ll need to use the round from the backstrap that doesn’t sound like a scene from an action movie. Maybe this backstrap compartment would be more useful for storing things like cleaning and maintenance tools or batteries?
