POTD: Jordanian Maritime Counter Terrorism Team
TFB’s Photo Of The Day and we find ourselves in Aqaba, Jordan, where Jordanian service members assigned to the Maritime Counter Terrorism Team, maintain security at a pier during close-quarter battle drills. This happened during the Eager Lion training exercise in September 2022.
Below: Lebanese service members assigned to the Lebanese Marine Commando Regiment, conduct over the beach operations during the Eager Lion training exercise at Camp Badger in Aqaba, Jordan. These guys spent less on optics than some of their allies.
According to the caption, Exercise Eager Lion is considered the capstone event of the broader U.S. military relationship with the Jordanian Armed Forces, one of U.S. Central Command’s strongest and most reliable partners in the region, leading the way for security and stability using conventional and nonconventional scenarios to activate a combined joint task force.
