POTD: VIS-a-VIS
Today’s Photo Of The Day is a picture by Tactical Imports Corporation (Canada) showing two Polish FB “Łucznik” Radom 9mm pistols – the VIS 35 and VIS 100M1. The former was designed in 1930 and adopted by the Polish Army in 1936. The latter, VIS 100M1, is the civilian version of the VIS 100 pistol which was adopted by the Polish Army in 2019. The VIS 100M1 has recently crossed the pond and is now available in the USA and Canada.
Both VIS 35 and VIS 100 pistols are short barrel recoil handguns with a tilting barrel – great examples of the development of John Browning’s design ideas.
In Canada, the VIS 100M1 pistol is exclusively available from Tactical Imports for 1,199CAD. The US distributors of this pistol are Arms of America and Atlantic Firearms who have the VIS 100M1 listed at a starting price of 939USD.

I was never a "low bore axis is ESSENTIAL" guy but man, that looks really high.
I'm sure it's fine mechanically but it looks like a cross between a 3rd gen S&W and a Ruger P-90.
I got the chance to shoot a Radom some 40 years ago; an absolutely great adaptation of John Browning’s design with that decocking ability. I would love to see this in 7.62 Tokarev.
