NEW BRN-180 Classic Stock From Brownells

NEW BRN-180 Classic Stock From Brownells

Brownells has (at long last) released the Classic Stock for the BRN-180 family of firearms. It mimics the look of the original AR-180 stock for fans of the traditional design.

    BRN-180 @ TFB:

Original AR-180 stocks had a folding mechanism that was weak and prone to breakage. The new version appears much more robust, with a folding joint that functions like a DoubleStar ACE mechanism.

Like the original, the Classic Stock does not feature any sling mounting points. Instead of stock-mounted sling loops, the AR-180 had a sling loop at the bottom of the pistol grip.

Unlike the original, this stock can be used on a wide variety of guns thanks to its 1913 Picatinny rail attachment. Two cross screws clamp onto any receiver with a vertical rail section. Other features include left-side folding, a weight of 14.8 ounces, and 10 inches in length.

    From Brownells:

Better late than never, Brownells is happy to finally bring the BRN-180 Folding Stock to the loyal BRN-180 customer base.

Keeping in line with the rest of Brownells BRN-180 project this stock takes its origin and styling ques from the original AR-180 but incorporates more modern materials and functional design to offer a stock that looks the part and preforms great.

The stock itself is a polymer construction while the folding mechanism has been designed from the ground up and is a metal construction.

The mounting attachment method for the folding mechanism is a 1913 Picatinny clamp so not only with it fit on Brownells BRN-180 style lower receivers but it will also work on other 1913 Picatinny mount firearms receivers that are becoming increasingly popular.

The stock folds to the shooters left and is a slim design so it adds minimal width when folded, and is out of the way when firing the gun in the folded position.
