Tanfoglio came out ready to showcase their latest and greatest at IWA 2022 and TFBTV Producer James Reeves was able to get a great interview with Mr. Tanfoglio himself to talk about the new Stock III Pro handgun. Tanfoglio’s main focus as of late has been to cater to the highly competitive IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) which demands accurate, high-performance handguns. So what’s up with the Stock III Pro handgun, how much will it cost you and when can you get it?

[IWA 2022] Tanfoglio’s Brand New Stock III Pro Competition Handgun

In comparison to other popular competition pistols that you find in the IPSC world, the Tanfoglio Stock III Pro is built from the ground up to be a competition firearm rather than a defensive or compact gun. The Stock III Pro features full metal construction, fully adjustable sights, ambidextrous safety controls, and has a 17+1 capacity. The steel-framed pistol bears a striking resemblance to the very popular CZ-75 series of handguns and features a Browning-Koucky system with two locking cams on the barrel and slide and a closed cam track. Other features include subdued forward and rear slide serrations which feature fewer and deeper cuts compared to some other competition pistols, as well as extended controls throughout the pistol, most notably, the magazine release.

Another great feature of the Stock III Pro that sets it apart from other competition handguns is its full-length dust cover which extends to make itself the same length as the slide which both counterbalances the pistol and makes it look absolutely stunning in my opinion. The new pistol will be available in several popular handgun calibers including .40 S&W, .38 Super, .45 ACP, 10mm, and of course 9x19mm. The pistol’s estimated price is stated to be somewhere between $1,500 and $2,000.
