One Million Rounds of Ammunition Offered to Ukraine by AMMO Inc.

AMMO Inc announced today that it would be offering one million rounds of small arms ammunition to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. AMMO Inc is not selling this ammunition but rather offering to donate it to the Ukrainian military after the company heard President Zelensky’s request for ammunition rather than a ride out of the country. AMMO Inc is most well known in the United States as a vertically integrated company of ammunition and firearms components as well as the new operator of the popular gun auction site GunBroker.com.

Fred Wagenhals, CEO of Ammo Inc., said “Ammo Inc., and we as Americans stand firmly in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence, as we stand for freedom and democracy everywhere. While we fervently hope for a quick and peaceful resolution to the crisis and that diplomacy will win the day, we condemn the Russian aggression and its threat to Ukraine’s territorial integrity and freedom. We recognize that events are unfolding rapidly on the ground in Ukraine, and we are prepared to move quickly as possible to support Ukraine as it continues to defend itself and its freedom.

Ammunition Incorporated specializes in small arms ammunition for commercial, law enforcement, and military applications. While their commercial lineup of products includes brands like their patented STREAK Visual Ammunition and their stelTH subsonic ammunition, the company also manufactures armor-piercing ammunition for military use which would probably prove to be useful for those on the ground in Ukraine. Ammo Inc was only first established in 2016 but has rapidly grown and expanded its coverage with its recent acquisition of GunBroker.com as well as the rapid progress on its new state-of-the-art facility which broke ground in June of 2021 and is expected to be completed by the Summer of 2022. What are your thoughts on this offer from Ammunition Incorporated to the Ukrainian Armed forces?

I HAVE HEARD RICHARD CHILDRESS, HE OF NASCAR FAME, IS A PARTNER IN THIS DEAL. HE IS A RESPECTED COMPETITOR, SUCCESSFUL TEAM OWNER AND GRANDFATHER, PLUS A GOOD AMERICAN. WHERE ARE THE NFL, NBA, MLB, AND ALL THE REST OF THE SPORTS REPRESENTED IN ANY EFFORT TO HELP THE PEOPLE OF THE UKRAINE FIGHT THE ASSAULT OF A PSYCO "LITTLE GUY SYNDROME" BILLIONAIRE WHO WANTS TO BE THE KING OF EUROPE. I WOULD GUESS THAT POSSIBLY KALITTA AIR COULD HAVE THAT AMMO IN POLAND RIGHT NOW. GOD BLESS ALL THESE PEOPLE TRYING TO HELP.

So they produce all the widely-used calibers in the western world. So maybe useful for the Ukrainian SF. However what Ukrainian military logistically is starved of is 5.45, 7.62x39 and 7.62x54R. Also there is 12.7x108 and 14.5x114. None of these calibers or rounds are produced by this company and coincidentally are what Ukrainian soldiers are deprived of the most. Therefore this million rounds won't do any good. And finally all the ammo they commercially produce is either FMJ or JHP. Compare it to even basic 7N6 and possibly 7N10 that Ukraine mostly used and it'll become clear that what's about to be sent is not even military ammo. If they sent some surplus M855 or even Green Tips, then it might be something useful for Ukranian SF, but otherwise it's all worthless.

Therefore the only logical conclusion is that this is a PR move.
