POTD: Falkland Islands Defence Force Shooting Historic Weapons
Photo Of The Day: The Falkland Islands Defence Force is the Volunteer Military Unit first established in 1892. The Force is fully funded by the Falkland Islands Government and works closely with British Forces to provide defence and security to the Falkland Islands.
The FIDF holds a number of historic weapons. This weekend, members of the Force had the opportunity to fire the weapons of their predecessors on the range.
This included iconic weapons such as the Self Loading Rifle, Light Machine Gun (formerly Bren Gun), and the Sterling Sub Machine Gun that have been used by generations of British and Commonwealth soldiers around the world.
The Steyr AUG.
Which one of these SMGs, machine guns or rifles would you prefer in your own collection?
