Standard Manufacturing SWITCH-GUN Folding Revolver
Standard Manufacturing continues exploring unconventional revolver designs. Although their newly released SWITCH-GUN .22 Magnum revolver is not as unusual as the S333 Thunderstruck, it still has a feature not commonly seen in modern revolvers – а spring-loaded folding grip. Let’s take a closer look.
Standard Manufacturing @ TFB:Here is how the company describes their new revolver:
The revolutionary new SWITCH GUN is the latest advancement in personal protection from Standard Manufacturing. The SWITCH GUN fits into your pocket and occupies about the same amount of space as your cell phone. When in the folded position, the grip of the SWITCHGUN completely encapsulates the trigger to prevent any type of accidental discharge. Upon depressing a button the SWITCHGUN immediately springs open as is ready for the immediate and reliable discharge of five .22 Magnum cartridges. When not in use, the SWITCHGUN can be folded into a very small form factor and stored in your pocket to conceal. Unlike any of it’s competitors, the SWITCHGUN features a large handle to provide a tremendous amount of grip similar to a full-sized revolver which provides the highest degree of control and accuracy.
The frame and barrel of the Standard Manufacturing SWITCH-GUN revolver are CNC machined out of stainless steel. The grip is made of polymer. The cylinder capacity is five rounds. The trigger mechanism is single action. The barrel length is .88″ and the revolver has the following dimensions (folded): 2.125” x 3.75” x .75”. The loaded weight of this wheelgun is 9 oz. The MSRP of Standard Manufacturing SWITCH-GUN is $449.
The folding grip feature should be the main selling point for those who consider the .22 Magnum good enough for a defensive concealed carry firearm. I’d really like to see what muzzle velocities are generated in such a short barrel though. Let us know in the comments section what do you think about the Standard Manufacturing SWITCH-GUN.

Never buying anything from them after seeing the kind of trash they willingly produced in the S333 Thunderstruck, don’t care how much of a NAA ripoff it is. I’m happy with my Pug
Hey look, they made a worse NAA mini revolver.
