    We’re onboard the USS Somerset (LPD 25), on top of the flight deck of the amphibious transport dock ship looking at a U.S. Marine Corps as they practice weapon handling techniques with their rifles.

    The USS Somerset (LPD-25) is a San Antonio-class amphibious transport ship of the United States Navy. It was launched in 2012, and has an overall length of 208.5 meters or 684 ft. Apart from the U.S. Marines, the armament consists of two 30 mm Bushmaster II cannons for surface threat defense and two Rolling Airframe Missile launchers for air defense. (Source)
