Arkansas-based Wilson Combat have announced that their local state police has selected their WC-15 carbine as their new patrol rifle. Wilson Combat have a series of AR platform rifles available in calibres ranging from 5.56 NATO and 300BLK to 300 HAM’R. The Arkansas State Police have selected a 5.56x45mm variant of Wilson Combat’s Protector, with a 14.7in barrel.
Arkansas State Police will be getting an initial batch of 375 carbines fitted out with an M-LOK forend and Wilson Combat’s enhanced AR bolt carrier group as well as their Q-Comp muzzle device and Wilson Combat back up iron sights.
Arkansas State Police were established in March 1935 with troopers initially known as rangers. Today there are over 500 state troopers in uniform.
