LWRC introduced refinements for both their REPR MKII rifles and for the SMG-45. Both products aren’t new to the market, but LWRC is looking to make their firearms even better. I had a chance to spend some time behind both these firearms Industry Range Day, as well as on the SHOT show floor. This is what I found.
SMG-45
The SMG-45 was released at the end of 2019 but at SHOT 2020 LWRC had more to say about the platform. By popular demand, LWRC confirmed that they are working on a 9x19mm version of the SMG-45, but did not confirm a release date. They did indicate it would be using 9mm UMP-pattern magazines as well. As UMP magazines grow rarer by the day, LWRC has come to the rescue. During the industry day demo, LWRC pointed out a marking on the bottom of the magazine. What looked like a factory UMP magazine was actually the new SMG-45 magazine manufactured by LWRC. Best of all, it’s already for sale on their web store. The gun is an incredibly smooth shooter, and I hope to see it in a local gun store soon.
REPR MKII
The REPR MKII rifles from LWRC now have even more precision accessories and barrel lengths options available. The REPR family of rifles uses a perfect blend of lightweight barrels, and uses a very reliable short-stroke gas piston system. The piston system in the REPR MKII now has 20 adjustment settings. This allows the end-user the ability to fine-tune their rifle even more. The flagship of the new REPR MKII line is the new Elite, and everything about this rifle screams performance.REPR MKII Elite Specs
