This week between August 13-14, Viridian Weapon Technologies will be featuring the FACT Duty Weapon-Mounted Camera (WMC™) at the Midwest Security and Police Conference Expo (MSPCE).

At this event, law enforcement personnel will have an opportunity to get a hands-on feel for Viridian’s evidence gathering camera. More than 500 U.S. Law Enforcement Departments have used the WMC by signing up for a no-cost Testing & Evaluation program.

Law enforcement personnel from all over the country will be able to experience the unique benefits of the Viridian WMC at this year’s Midwest Security and Police show.

Our team will be available both days to share and demonstrate why more than 500 agencies are in various stages of testing and implementing the device.

The WMC provides a truly unobstructed perspective that did not exist before, and it is setting a new standard for policing and mobile video evidence. – Viridian President and CEO Brian Hedeen.

FACT Duty WMC

The FACT Duty WMC is an advanced weapon-mounted digital camera designed to capture critical evidence. In tandem with its integrated 500-lumen tactical light (and on some models a tactical laser), the WMC uses its 1080p full-HD camera to provide a clear view of any critical use-of-force events from the firearm.

The inclusion of Viridian's INSTANT-ON technology ensures the capture of any critical use-of-force evidence

The FACT Duty WMC boasts many advantages over a traditional body and dash cams including INSTANT-ON® technology. As soon as the officer draws their weapon from its holster both the camera and microphone are activated. This eliminates the risk of an officer failing to manually turn on the camera before a critical event. Both Body cameras and Dashcams were not designed to capture officer-involved shootings, while Viridians WMC’s are specifically designed for when an officers weapon is drawn.

The Camera's battery has a life of 1 year of the holster on standby or up to 3.3 hours of recording time.

At MSPCE, booth visitors who officially enroll in the no-cost T&E program will receive a free Tactical Backpack while supplies last. This show special is an exclusive token of appreciation for qualified T&E sign-ups during the conference.

    They aren't that expensive: https://www.amazon.com/Viri...

I'll be getting one for my G19 EDC, since it looks like it'll fit in a Safariland ALS.

Oh goodie, yet another accountability system that will shockingly manage to somehow mysteriously fail the next time 5-0 kicks down a door at the wrong address and murders an eight year old child sleeping on a couch.

There needs to be a federal law that every single Jesus Weeping time a law enforcement agency which operates bodycams or dashcams or weaponcams has a fatal incident where footage is ~~somehow~~ unavailable after the fact, every individual involved and their supervisors/managers/sergeants/lieutenants gets a mandatory minimum sentence-- without parole or time off for good behavior-- comparable to whatever the sentence would have been for being convicted of premeditated murder in that jurisdiction.
