When it comes to building up an AR-15 from a stripped lower receiver, most of us do not have the correct tools to do it, but with a little shade tree gunsmithing and ingenuity, we get ‘er done! A better way would be to use a dedicated toolset like the new Real Avid AR15 Armorer’s Master Kit that just came out. Personally, I have some good tools for working on the AR15 platform and some other pieces that are for woodworking and automobiles… that maybe should be left to their respective origins.
The Real Avid AR15 Armorer’s Master Kit is not necessarily cheap at the price-point of $249.99 full MSRP. If you were to individually hand-select all of the tools this kit boasts you would be extremely hard-pressed to match that price though. All of the pieces you can expect inside can be read below as presented by Real Avid:
- Keep tools securely organized in a professional, purpose-built storage case
- Armorer’s Master Wrench with Replacement Hammer Heads
- Lug-Lok Upper Vise Block
- Smart-Fit AR15 Lower Vise Block
- AR15 Master Bench Block
- Torque Wrench
- Easy-Grip Handguard Tool
- AR15 Pivot Pin Tool
- AR15 Pivot Lock
- AR15 Pin Punch Set
